About our Nurse Support Service

RedArc is an independent, specialist company providing the guidance needed to ease concerns, or manage the experience of illness, disability, trauma or bereavement. During challenging times practical advice and emotional support is just as important as financial assistance. That’s why Millstream Underwriting Limited has teamed up with the nurse support service at RedArc to offer their support to all StemCellCare customers, at no added cost.

A Personal Nurse Adviser is assigned as soon as an individual is referred to RedArc via the Customer Services team, and the same nurse will stay in touch by phone for as long and as often as needed. Every Nurse Adviser is highly experienced and a fully qualified, registered nurse with a wide range of specialised knowledge, including paediatrics as well as general medical experience.

Who can access this service?

All StemCellCare customers and their families have access to the nurse support service provided by RedArc. This includes all close relatives.

The service can be provided to both parents - jointly, or separately if required, because each person’s concerns are different. RedArc says:

“We can find that couples have very different ways of coping with issues and can find it hard to work together, which adds another dimension of stress to an already very difficult situation.”

Your Personal Nurse Adviser can provide practical advice and emotional support for all scenarios covered by the StemCellCare range of policies. This could include emotional support for parents coping with a severe diagnosis of one of their children, the practical support to seek a second medical opinion and supporting families whilst caring for a child undergoing treatment.

There are no time limits to the telephone calls, nor any requirement to make a claim - this service is available to eligible customers from the moment of purchase.
